Account information:

• Mobile phone number (required for OTP verification)

Listing information:

• Cat details you submit (name, breed, age, photos, description, location)
• Contact details provided in a listing (phone, WhatsApp link)

Messages:

• Text, image, and video messages exchanged between users via the in-app chat

Usage data:

• Log data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited
• Device information used to access the Platform

We use the information we collect to:

• Verify your identity via OTP and maintain your account.
• Display your listings and profile to other users.
• Facilitate in-app messaging between listers and adopters.
• Send important service notifications (e.g., listing status updates).
• Review listings for compliance with our guidelines.
• Improve and maintain the security and performance of the Platform.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling for marketing purposes.

Paws Ok Please displays profile avatars using Gravatar (Globally Recognised Avatar), a third-party service operated by Automattic Inc. If you provide an email address, a hashed (SHA-256) version of it is sent to Gravatar's servers to retrieve an associated avatar image.

No personally identifiable information other than the hash is transmitted to Gravatar. If no avatar is found, a generic placeholder is shown. You can manage your Gravatar at gravatar.com.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

We may share information with:

• Other users — name and contact details you include in a listing or send via chat are visible to the other party in that conversation.
• Service providers — trusted vendors who assist with hosting, image storage (Cloudflare Images), and SMS/OTP delivery, under confidentiality obligations.
• Law enforcement — when required by applicable Indian law or a valid legal process.

Your data is stored on servers located in India or within cloud infrastructure compliant with applicable data protection norms. We implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls — to protect your information.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Listing data is retained for operational and audit purposes even after a listing is removed. Message data is retained as long as either participant's account remains active.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at hello@pawsokplease.com. We will action such requests within 30 days, subject to legal obligations.

The Platform uses essential cookies and local storage to maintain your login session (authentication token). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from logging in or using authenticated features.

The Platform is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it promptly.
